This redefinition is entirely unethical-not only because of inherent problems with embryo research, but also because it ignores the real success of adult stem cells and fails to put the patients first. This redefinition also illustrates the willingness of NIH to change the rules to fit their desires for more embryos.

Dear Sir or Madam,
Please do not change the definition of embryonic stem cells to be able to use younger human embryos in experiments. Please focus more research on adult stem cells and their successes in numerous treatments.

Thank you,
Pat Loehlein

Dear Sirs?

What is this nonsense? Adult stem cells have proven effective in a huge list of diseases; they are easily obtainable. Embryonic stem cells have yet to be proven effective in any area. In fact, when used experimentally have actually been harmful to the patients and they caused tumors both in lab animals and humans. The money being stolen to pretend that embryonic cell research justifies abortion is just criminal. This money would be best used to expeand the already proven successful use of adult stem cells. Any doctor who would be used in this wqay by the pro-aborts is as evil as "This Present Darkness" (administration in the White House.)

[...] The guidelines are being massaged to remove an impediment to human embryonic experimenters, including Harvard’s George Daly. With Gov. Sebelius’ blessing, the pro-cloning Kansas City Stowers group, wanted to bring Daly here and thus heavily lobbied Kansas — along with KU– to weaken our bio-science laws.
8 cells doesn't not = consciousness, plus the 8 cells are not harmed using ACT's method. I am all for the change in the definition. And, when dieases like Macular Degenration are cured, there will be no debate.
