It was a new low for MSNBC. She handled it with great class. Ratigan needs to take his Ritalin more often. The main concern I have with the Stupak amendment now is that it is, indirectly, making legal abortion seem somewhat "OK" as long as there is no federal funding of it. I.e., as long as you pay for it privately.... Farther and farther down the slippery slope we go. I was truly stunned by how offensive and insulting Ratigan was to Ms. Ruse. They have to drown out the voices of pro lifers to conceal the truth. They must tell them to shut up and go away and call them liars on the set in order to prevail. Another reason I hope it was widely viewed is it will cause people to examine carefully the claim that the Stupak amendment prevents women from buying abortion insurance with their own money. This is the canard the pro abortionists are now using to influence public opinion. They are hoping people won't examine it too closely and thus be fooled. A closer look will show how false it is. They will then see what an ignoramus Ratigan is. One would think he would have at least researched the issue enough to avoid making the absurd claim he made.
