However, I am disappointed by his apparent defense of compulsory military service. Conscription is a gross violation of basic human rights, especially the right to be free of involuntary servitude (slavery) - which is explicitly outlawed by the Thirteenth Amendment. Slavery is never acceptable in any civilised society, for any reason. Please refer to the Thirteenth Amendment.
