Cultural identity is a matter of ‘becoming’ as well as of ‘being’…it belongs to the future as well as the past. It’s really about a search for belonging,’ asserts one local expat. The beauty of London is that in this huge cosmopolitan city, those from a variety of cultures and backgrounds, all sharing the common bond of being expatriates, create their own sense of belonging, making this great city their own.

I hope the president is not selling out the dream of our founding fathers. I will pray for him but then again; God help us

Wow, Jason! Can you offer more specific proof that "this blurb is lazy and dishonest"? I've always found the information disseminated on this blog to be accurate and informative. As to your defense of the President's comments, I can't see that saying "we would be" instead of "we are" really changes the meaning of the statement Obama was making.

This man keeps the "dhimmi," of putting every other religions beneath Islam.
Yes, this is a Christian nation founded for freedom to worship not found on gold but God. That God is Jesus. HE said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes tothe Father except by me." Obama keeps spouting about he is a Christian but his actions and words convey not. This man is selling our beloved USA down and out. His actions and words are not to be taken lightly. His conduct is outrageous. He is not American enough to be at 1600 Pennsylvania. Yes, he is black. But his values, morals, out of his own mouth, and kissing his muslim brethren shows he is not promoting American values. We are not Europe or another country. And, Jesus said, he did not come to bring peace! The problem is most people believe maybe some of the Bible, but not all of it which creates contradictions on their part. The bottom line, this man speaks with a forked-tongue & his arrogant, condescending and deceptive. His appalling comments from his old stomping grounds in the Middle East was also spit on our precious 9/11 victims who came from various countries besides the U.S.A..

Last year the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life stated that the percentage of Muslims in the U.S. is 0.6%. According to Pew 78.4% of the U.S. population is Christian; 1.7%.of the U.S. population is Jewish and 0.7% is Buddhist. In terms of the U.S. having one of the largest Muslim populations, the President was wrong again, the U.S. ranks 41st, that hardly qualifies as one of the largest.

Tony, you're not the only Christian that was offended by his "charismatic" comments. People were so happy he wasn't apologizing for America, they overlooked his comments about America being one of the largest Muslim nations in the world. I wrote about it, too, and was deeply offended.

The fact that you are attacking the President Obama because of mere semantics is very sad. The President obviously meant that we have a largest Islamic population, not that we are an Islamic Theocracy. We are a country of many faiths, creeds, and ideologies, not a "Christian Nation" and the sooner you and your fundamentalist organization realizes that, the better
