Having worked for the Dept of Veterans Affairs for nearly 20 years, now, I would love to see Congress open its doors to employees and veterans’ families. The VA, in the past few years, has had many articles on our efficiency and excellence of care. I am not for socialized medicine, but high quality, efficient-run systems should be made more available to as many as could qualify. Congress strangles VA funding every year, we are always short, but we provide great services, anyway. Much can be credited to the many VA employees that believe they are providing support to Americans that protect and care for our country. Many work long, hard hours without overtime pay to provide the best care possible for those who lay down their lives for their fellow man.
