Back in 1988 I was an addict. Many people in my family felt that abortion was probably the most sensible option. I kept trying to save my money for abortion but kept spending it on drugs. A Christian in NC, whom I had not communicated for several years, called and said that he felt God was telling him to tell me that if I had the baby He (God) would honor my decision. Today my son is 21 years old, healthy, intelligent and loves the Lord. I woonder what would have happened if abortion would have been free back then. I can't imagine life without my son. Praise be to my God.

I am disgusted by Kathleen Sebelius's view on late term abortion. I don't know why anyone would think this is ok. Does she have no conscience? Does she have no respect for human life? Good thing her mother did.

In addition to her record, there's something very callous about hob-nobbing with a late term abortionist under so much scrutiny in the state she governs -- insensitive to those constituents with a respect for life and for the laws of Kansas. Is this poor judgement or is she just out of touch with the vast majority of Americans who would recoil at the idea of hanging out with someone famous for this work?

I believe that Gov. Seblius's strong pro-choice stance will be detrimental to any balanced approach to running the Department of Health and Human Services and strongly appose this appointment.

Sincerely,

Ronald W. Runyon

My daughter just gave birth to a baby boy, born prematurely at six months. He died the next day in her arms, and yet she feels he is every bit her son, as I do believe he is my grandson. His funeral was overwhelmingly moving, and her friends and family cried as she read a poem she wrote for the occasion. The baby was perfect in every way, just tiny and unable to make it. I can only think that Governor Sebelius is evil when I read here that she promotes late-term abortions of babies no different than my daughter's little boy, except that many of them would otherwise have a better chance of surviving.
