The 25 Movies President Obama Gave Prime Minister Brown

by Chris Gacek
March 6, 2009

The British press is a-flutter over President Obama’s gift of 25 DVDs to Prime Minister Brown. In response to criticism that the gift was cheap and vulgar, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs responded that the DVDs represent an American Film Institute selection of classic cinema that accurately portrays aspects of the United Kingdom’s history. Downing Street reportedly will not divulge the titles of the DVDs. The U.K.’s Daily Mail has published a list of the movies, but luckily, we at Family Research Council have obtained the real list of DVDs given to Prime Minister Brown.

Here is President Obama’s selection:

1

Braveheart

2

The Patriot

3

The Wind that Shakes the Barley

4

Ghandi

5

Zulu Dawn

6

A Bridge Too Far

7

John Adams (HBO Series)

8

Bloody Sunday

9

Patton

10

Khartoum!

11

A Man for All Seasons

12

The Buccaneer

15

16

[Special thanks to my colleagues Michael Fragoso and Michael Leaser, who contributed to the above mischief.]

He forgot two
Red Dawn “A full scale military invasion by foreign troops begins. Total surprise. Almost total success . . . . more
Plot:
It is the dawn of World War III. In mid-western America, a group of teenagers bands together to defend their town, and their country, from invading Soviet forces.” http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087985/

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075765/ Black Sunday 1977 An Isreali anti-terrorist agent must stop a disgruntled Vietnam vet cooperating in a plot to commit a terrorist plot at the Super Bowl.

And that is a cool gift

Since when has the American Film Institute ever been correct on history or any other fact.

Don’t you remember the answer to the question of what is required to make a Bible movie.

In case you have forgotten, the answer is: “A line from the Bible, and a cast of thousands.”

Wow, there is some hate there in that list! Zulu Dawn? Oh man, that’s sending a strong hint! Ghandi? LOL! What have the people voted for? Glad I’m not having the same remorse I had in 1977 and 1993, I am smarter now!
