<description>I have to dispute the comments which say that universal 9government run) healthcare will cost more. The US has the highest per capita cost for healthcare in the world, but there are still people who do not get it.
In Canada, where I am from, we enjoy universal healthcare and no one goes without.
You may argue (such as the private providers would promote) that Canadians or other countries with universal care, lose out. I don&#039;t believe that.
In fact, my family is an example of those who benefit. I am a successful engineer and my wife is in the medical field. If we had to we could pay for my dad&#039;s medical care - he cannot, since he has been on disability from several back injuries, and now heart and lung problems.
With universal care, he gets the prescriptions and hospital care he needs, and has never waited for required tests or care.
Sure, people do wait. They wait in a priority list, and some wait too long. But those are the exceptions. If care cannot be provided in the Province of residence, the system will send you to larger centres.

Nothing is perfect. I will admit. But i truly believe that providing the right to access of healthcare leads to a healthier, safer and more economically stable society (i.e., no one has to worry about losing their house over a newborn, or an operation, for example).

It is like everything the government provides. There will be cheaters. There is with welfare, although there are real needs as well. There is with unemployment insurance, although the majority use it wisely. People even steel resources from their own church. It&#039;s human nature for some to cheat - even god (from).

Have a great day and god bless you.

<description>Government run medical care would be a disaster.
Just look st the record of other government programs. We would be far better served by making any medical expenses totally deductible on our income tax. Medicaid programs for the poor could continue.

		<description>Short winded version.

Government should not attempt to do for citizens what they can do better for themselves.

<description>While President Obama may be cordial, friendly and appear to be listening to contrasting viewpoints, he has shown time and time again that it is an act. He seems attentive and then afterwards just does what he wants. Commentators have complained about one promise or another Obama made when he was running for President that now he does not appear to be keeping. He had his own agenda then and knew he wouldn&#039;t be keeping these promises (in other wards, he lied), and sealed it with a smirk and the statement &quot;I won&quot; when people questioned it. He cares nothing about the people of the nation, with the exception of himself and his cronies, and has no plans to do anything that doesn&#039;t fit in with what he wants. Face it and fasten your seatbelts, America, we&#039;re in for a bumpy ride.

<description>It is not enough to argue in closed session on what the best and worst courses are for the American health care system, the free market case and the government run disasters must be taken to the people to get them to realize the fallacy of supporting socialized medicine!

<description>Welcome to OBAMA NATION. I am thankful that we are not dependant upon that government for our living.
We would starve to death. I am encouraged there is a higher authority that cannot be corrupted.
1 Corinthians. 15:50c Corruption cannot inherit incorruption.
