The President should forget about the bailout until Congress and Wall Street get their act together and limit their spending. For instance, Congress gives themselves a larger share of the Social Security funds than they give the seniors who worked for it.
I think they should suspend any idea of a “bail-out” until they find out where the money went from the first one, and did it have any effect, and do what it was supposed to do? I think capitalism needs to solve it’s own problems if we are to remain a capitalist society. I am by no means an economist or political scientist, but the Government giving the private sector money sets up a dangerous path to the road to socialism. They are in trouble because of their greed, plain and simple. If the Government wants to see cash flow, suspend income taxes for a quarter, and see what effect that has. But that will never happen, because that would cause Americans to actually see what the Government takes from our paychecks. I’m guessing the impact would be immediate and dramatic. Maybe i would go buy that LCD flat screen TV, or car, or whatever hard goods are made. Wishful thinking!
Tony,
I am a huge supporter. You do a great job and I appreciate the efforts you put forth in keeping those morals and standards we hold dear strong. I wish everyone would keep up on these issues like you do and feel free to voice their opinions. How else will this country strive if we do not fight for what we believe in. You definitely have a worthy cause and I am in full support. Thank you for standing up for the issues of America in the right way.

I may have figured out the solution to the current economic crisis. We need to expand the president’s cabinet. Then when all the democrats Obama selects pay up their unpaid taxes “wa la” the U.S. is back in the black. The only problem with this plan is in the fact that these additions will likely end up with political power. That probably more than negates all we gained from having them pay their taxes. That is the problem with good ideas. Plan B may actually have more merit. It appears the U.S. will have an empty faciltiy in Cuba in the near future. It might be cheaper to have a diversion program for democrats rather than an expanded cabinet.
Tony,
Thank you for being a voice for the rest of us. Please, keep doing what you are doing; and blessings!
