As they say down at the post office, “here’s looking up your address”*

The Post Office, not usually the source of a smile, does give us two stories today that might do just that (even if it isn’t intentionally.) In the first story a 6-foot-tall, 250-pound letter carrier is campaigning the U.S. Postal Service to add kilts as a uniform option for men. Calling them Unbifurcated garments, our trendsetting mailman pled in a letter “Please open your hearts — and inseams — for an option in mail carrier comfort!”Stamp Flag.jpg

In an even more embarrassing story for the Postal Service, though a good one for philatelist, the government agency found that one of its “Flags 24/7″ series appears to have 14 stripes, and not the normal 13 strips representing the original 13 colonies. I have no idea if the extra stripe has anything to do with Senator Barack Obama’s (D-esperate) claim he has visited 57 states.

I had considered myself “independent” until I saw
that your straw-poll mirrors my short list of
concerns perfectly. I also note that last month’s
Republican Party mailing concurs 100% with my list
of priorities. Even if I were not completely in
agreement with the Republican record, I will still
vote a straight Republican ticket this fall, based
on the first two issues: I am pro-life and anti-
homosexuality. And so here’s a piece of advice for any other undecideds out there:

Don’t vote for Obama just because he’s black and don’t vote for Hillary just because she’s a woman. Instead vote for John McCain just because he’s pro-life and against homosexuality! When in doubt, always vote for the candidate who best lines up with what the Bible teaches.

A Slippery Slope

We have murdered over 50 million babies in the name of personal freedom—the so-called right-to-choose. Should we be free to murder? How can anyone who claims to be a Christian vote for a pro-abortion or a pro-homosexuality candidate? God has made it so very clear that we are not to murder or be homosexuals. He will not overlook these sins. I realize “that He is patient, not wishing for any to perish,” but we are “putting God to the test” with these two issues and many others. The individuals who practice murdering children and practice homosexuality will be
judged by God individually, and nations who approve of these things and turn a blind-eye to these evil practices will share in their punishment. If this continuing practice of murdering babies and practicing homosexuality does not grieve your heart, you are NOT a Christian. Stop deceiving yourself and others! If you are a Christian, DO NOT VOTE for any candidate who supports the continuing policies of murdering babies and condoning homosexuality.
