"Expelled" Live Lecture Webcast at 11:00AM EST

If you're in downtown DC today, please join us at FRC headquarters at 11:00 AM for a Policy lecture on the film Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed. You can also view a webcast of the event by following this link. Here's the relevant info:

In the forthcoming major motion picture Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, Ben Stein exposes the frightening efforts by the “Darwinian Machine” to suppress evidence of “intelligent design” in nature and discriminate against those who examine such evidence.

Join Todd Norquist and Dairek Morgan for a powerful presentation on this controversial documentary that chronicles Ben Stein's quest to bring back freedom in our institutions, laboratories and most importantly, in our classrooms.

See a SNEAK PEEK of exclusive clips from Ben’s “Expelled” movie with a special guest appearance by Caroline Crocker, a biology professor who lost her job after she questioned evolution.

Follow this link to register or view the webcast at 11:00 AM.

[Pat] says:

There is no money to be made in intelligent design. Scientist create all sorts of things and find bones etc to get government grants. Embryonic stem cell research has failed or did the money dry up. Have to wonder.

[Suricou Raven] says:

Inteligent Design, the theory that its proponents claim has nothing at all to do with religion, is being promoted by the distinctly christian FRC - as well as a church-based marketing campaign.

[Patricia] says:

What happened to our freedom? If you're not watching it will all be taken away. I wonder about the Australian's claim that Ho Ho uttered by Santa Claus was scaring little children. What about all those horrible looking characters on TV, comic books, children's books and Holloween costumes? Are they going to keep children out of churches that have crucifixtions? It's getting so popular reasons not to do this or say that. Pink Floyd said "leave them kids alone",

[nigel] says:

How can any bible believing person support ID teaching and say it is not teaching creationism by God without either questioning their faith or not being disingenuous?

If you believe the bible you have to reject ID unless it specifically says the intelligent designer is God, and the Christian God at that.

I can pour lemonade into a coke can, the packaging may be different but it's still lemonade.

[Sensible] says:

Poor Ben...guess he didn't watch the PBS special "Judgment Day: Intelligent Design On Trial". It exposes all the flaws in ID, proves it is just a repackaging of Creationism, and shows the strength of Evolution. Actually, it proves Evolution while exposing ID and its movement completely flawed.

I used to like Ben...thought he was funny...thought he was smart. All he needs to do is watch Judgment Day and he'll change his tune (and hopefull apologize for his film). Freedom in our institutions and laboratories does not mean pursuit of creating a whole new doctrine where religious zealots decide what is or isn't science.
