Manchester Schools Having a Field Day with Planned Parenthood

Here's today's Washington Watch Daily commentary from FRC Radio:

The program may be called STAY, but New Hampshire parents are calling for it to go! Two weeks ago, the Manchester group, which is associated with a middle school, took 41 at-risk kids to Planned Parenthood for a field trip. The middle schoolers were supposed to be taken on a tour of social service agencies—but that’s hardly how I’d describe the city’s biggest abortion provider. Although STAY is sponsored by the YMCA, the local president says he’d have never authorized such a visit. Neither would parents—that is, if they’d been given the opportunity. According to reports, the principal in charge didn’t bother to inform parents. And regardless of how families feel about abortion, almost everyone objected to having their kids exposed to the clinic without their consent. Manchester residents are so outraged that the mayor is calling for an immediate investigation. But imagine the controversy if these kids had visited a pro-life group! The ACLU would have been in Manchester faster than you can say “viewpoint discrimination.” The bottom line is that schools should be teaching children, not indoctrinating them. And if STAY really wants to help at-risk kids, it should give them the tools to change their behavior—not perpetuate it!

[James] says:

Parents are incredibly foolish and naive to entrust their children to ANY organization which is not explicitly and seriously Christian (which, of course, the Young Man's Christian Association long ago stopped being) - with the exception of the Boy Scouts.

If they do - their kids will end up being indoctrinated into believing abortion and divorce are great, that sexual perversion is normal and good and right to try out, that there is no moral truth, that eveyone has a 'right' to not be offended, etc. etc. Heck, in our local Y, sodomite men fondle each other in the locker room - in front of kids. The public schools are just as dangerous to your children.

Face it - evil is after your kids - and most secular organizations - including public schools, the YMCA, the Girl Scouts, etc. etc., couldn't care less.
