In Indianapolis, Indiana, middle school "sex education" has reached an entirely new plateau. What for months remained a jealously guarded secret at Warren Township’s Raymond Park Middle School has now been shockingly exposed: Two 6th grade students engaged in sexual intercourse during class – under the nose of an oblivious teacher.
At the middle school, so-called “shop class” afforded the students the opportunity of learning through experience. Apparently books simply aren’t realistic enough for certain subjects.
The story surfaced when a disturbed local resident tipped off a news channel, writing: “…during school hours in a classroom with an experienced teacher present, two sixth graders completed the act of intercourse…at least ten students were witnesses. No disciplinary actions were taken against the teacher… All teachers were told to keep quiet.”
According to Warren Township Associate Superintendent Jeff Swensson, the act of classroom intercourse did take place and was subsequently kept hidden – one skeleton that needed to stay in the closet. Maybe more interestingly, the Raymond Park Middle School Principal refused to be interviewed concerning the subject, only issuing the following trite statement:
Two students were involved in inappropriate conduct in a lab class last semester. We have investigated the matter and taken appropriate action. The school corporation considers the matter closed and will have no further comment.
We have a serious problem on our hands when the instructors of America’s next generation are sanctioning public “educational” sexual intercourse. Have our moral sensibilities been desensitized to the point that we no longer assent to even the most basic codes of ethics?

As far as I can tell, the teacher was not aware of the sexual activity. Thus, they cannoy be fairly accused of 'sanctioning' it. This has nothing to do with declining morals or sex education - just a routine case of incompetance.

Doesn't anyone ever check these blogs for simple basic truthfulness? Jordan Flournoy implies here that the school was teaching sex education with a live demonstration. There is not the slightest evidence of any purposely bad sexual behavior here except on the part of the students. Jordan is lying. Tell falsehoods. Making it up. Spinning faster than a tire on a Nascar track.
I'm not letting my child read this blog, he might be influenced to think that lying is acceptable.

Here are some facts "conveniently" left out of Jordan's blog post.
A third student acted as "lookout" to make sure the teacher didn't find out. The number of students who actually witnessed the act is in dispute.
According to school officials, the act lasted 30 seconds.
School officials have done much more than issue a "trite statement." They have been interviewed by local media. They probably refused to talk to Jordan. I would.

Hey it was ALSO a media proposed 'isolated' incident that a MAN went into a school last week dressed as a student. He wasn't there to learn, John... only to apprehend & rape a young female. But... isolated as this may seem, they had a 20 something young man go into a high school the next day here in Lafayette, Colorado & sit through almost 3 full periods/classes before a student actually alerted his teacher after class pointing out the guy (who ran, escaping the authorities).
I hope your blindness, is NOT irreparable... for the sake of this country. There's too many blind here, who are happy that way. Just like Ray Charles' mom told him, "Don't let them turn you into a criple".

Sixth graders do not routinely have sex in a classroom with a teacher present.
You'll get no argument from me that there is a fair amount of dysfunction in our public schools, and certainly I agree that stories like this are disturbing.
But it is still isolated.

In the meeting held at the school last night parents were told the sexual incident lasted 3-4 minutes not 30 seconds. Parents have the right to know. This is not an isolated incident because approximately one month prior to this cover up,there was an incident on rpms bus #70 in which an 8th grade girl was performing oral sex on a 8th grade boy in the back seats of a fully loaded bus of students. One child reported the incident. The girl in the incident has not returned to school. However the boy was back in school at RPMS after 3days. The following week a 6th grader on the same bus #70 exposed himself to several other students on the bus while urinating into a pop bottle. I would not wish RPMS and Principal conspirator on my worst enemies children.
